2022

December 7, 2022

Today was Reading Day, but also a perfect day for a little lab fun before the holidays. We’re getting pretty good at escape rooms, with a successful escape from the Office Christmas Party room at Escape the Space. We escaped with 14 minutes to spare and placed our lab mark on the winner’s wall (check out those cells!). After a little break, we’re all ready for the home stretch here at the end of the semester. Best of luck to everyone for exams, and we hope everyone has a great holiday season and winter break!

We made it to the end of another semester/school year! What better way to celebrate than with a little lab fun bowling. We had one person missing since Eric couldn’t make it, but overall had a great time. Who knew what competitive nature exists among many of our lab members?! Trophies went home with Damion for 1st place and Kianna for 2nd place for highest scores for students. There may have to be a rematch in the near future.

May 12, 2022

Congratulations to our lab undergraduates Evan, Divya, Pravalika and Rachel on their graduation from our Biological Engineering program! Best wishes to you all and all members of the Class of 2022!

The UGA Graduate School has been highlighting graduate students for their Celebrating Graduate Students Building Community feature. From the Graduate School site, “Our graduate students have contributed in a variety of ways to build community within their departments, the university and larger community. While there are so many amazing students we like to highlight those who have contributed above and beyond to build community within their disciplinary areas on campus and within the broader community of Georgia.” Our very own Damion Dixon was highlighted in this feature.
