Our overall research interest is in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Currently, our work focuses on the development of complex and multi-functional tissue-engineered systems. More specifically, we are interested in studying cell-biomaterial interactions, identifying factors or molecules that influence cellular behavior, and developing multi-functional biomaterials that could be used as a basis for in vitro tissue model systems, which could be used for studying disease progression or drug efficacy.
